Loved Sex in the City 2...but I am a Carrie kinda girl, so why the hell would I not love it...and Aiden...okay, anyway...

Like any fashion gal, I loved the clothes and the decor MOST OF ALL!
Let's take a look at some of my faves when the girls were indoors...


This was Carrie and Big's living room...and it was GORGE! That Billy Baldwin style Montauk sofa in MOHAIR...yes, MOHAIR, was magnificent and that low modern table, mixed in with these otherwise traditional pieces was glorious.


The CLOSET! I love how his dark and masculine side sets off her feminine and girly side in white!


Charlottes Park Avenue white kitchen with the Wolf stove with red knobs is fabulously lux and rich and well...white!


You have to love Carrie's apartment...it is darling and fabulous! The colors, the bed, the mirrored table, it is all downtown New York style!

Welcome to the Party Life

In my other life, I moonlight in event styling...I really really dislike the planning part, but I love love love the design portion.
This treatment above is for a graduation party I am hosting for one of my favorite nieces this weekend at my abode.
It is called FROTH AND CIRCUMSTANCE...as I think any great party has to have a really great title.
Anyway, the pink and gray tissue flowers, white tent, tables, and chairs, polka dot and striped plates, 3d mortarboard and books cake, and all of the other girlie fabulousness will be on complete disply next Monday...so come back and check it out!

These are images from the home of Laura Day, a designer on Trading Spaces, and these rooms are filled with bold and colorful choices that I think are both stylish and personal. The big shaggy pillows on the guest room bed, and the gilded wallpaper are magnificent. The stately painting and the turquoise settee play against the dark wood in the hallway, and that living room...that pouf and that chandelier...OMG!
